Mole Removal Services.

Mobile Skin Screening offers mole removal services. Whether a mole needs to be removed due to concerning features or for cosmetic reasons the procedure is basically the same, simple and mostly a painless process. The main goal of Mobile Skin Screening is to ensure you are comfortable during the procedure.

A small needle is used to inject the area where the mole is located with a local anesthetic. The patient will experience minor pain of a pinch when the needle is injected into the skin and a slight burning sensation of the local anesthetic for a few seconds. This will numb the area so no other pain will be experienced when the mole is removed. Mobile Skin Screening will finish setting up, go over wound care instructions and complete paperwork if the mole will be sent to a dermatopathology lab for diagnostic testing. This usually takes between 10-15 minutes which gives the local anesthetic time to completely numb the skin.

A blade will be used to remove the mole, bleeding will be controlled and stopped, and the area will be bandaged. The local anesthetic will wear off in 1-2 hours and most patients don’t experience any discomfort after the procedure. Depending on the location of the mole removal, how fast you heal, and your current health status, it will take 1 to 4 weeks for the area to develop a scab. A scar will eventually occur over the next several months and will improve in appearance over time.
